New trophy to be awarded at Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta

Sailors can win a new trophy in the 26th Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta, but only if they register and race at Turkeyshoot.org or Yachtscoring.com.

The committee has announced that, in addition to the existing awards, this year participants may be able to win the new 2021 Hospice Turkey Shoot Regatta Corinthian Trophy. This trophy to be awarded to the best performing sailboat designed for cruising, which also has displayed the highest standards of effort and sportsmanship during both races now planned for this regatta, reported Rappahannock River Yacht Club director Tom Wicks.

This trophy is underwritten by The Waterway Guide and general manager/editor-in-chief Ed Tillett, in Deltaville. 

Tillet also is expected to race his beautiful New England cat boat Trick or Treat for the first time and the organizers hope to have enough cats to form a division of these small but elegant boats, said Wicks….
