NNO to open season with music by Beethoven, Gershwin and Marquez

The opening concert of the Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2021-22 season on November 6 at the Lancaster Middle School Theater in Kilmarnock will feature colorful compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven and George Gershwin and a lively work by Arturo Marquez.

“The Northern Neck Orchestra’s 2021-2022 concert season marks the 30th year of performances by the orchestra since its founding in 1991,” said music director Michael Repper. “The exciting program for our first concert of the season gets our anniversary year off to a great start.”

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are $36. Season tickets for all three concerts for the season are $90. Tickets can be purchased at the door or www.northernneckorchestra.org. Students are admitted free.
