NNO’s 32nd season will begin Oct. 15 with music by Beethoven, Britten and Montgomery

The Northern Neck Orchestra’s (NNO) 32nd season opens with a matinee performance on October 15 at the Northumberland High School theater, 201 Academic Lane, Claraville. 

Conducted by music director Michael Repper, the NNO will perform Benjamin Britten’s playful Simple Symphony, the Virginia premiere of Jessie Montgomery’s dazzling Rounds for Strings and Piano and Ludwig van Beethoven’s epic Symphony No. 7.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m. and will be preceded by a pre-concert talk by Repper at 2:15 p.m.

Tickets are $40. Tickets for the entire four-concert 2023-24 season are $128, including a special holiday concert December 16 in Kilmarnock. All tickets may be purchased at www.northernneckorchestra.org or the door. Students are admitted free.
