FAIRPORT—Norma Ashburn Moore of Fairport passed away on March 19, 2023.

She was born at her family home in Fairport.

Mrs. Moore was predeceased by her husband, William H. Moore Jr.; and her parents, John Thomas Ashburn and Daisy Edna Ashburn. 

Norma “Nonnie” is survived by her three children, William H. Moore III (Linda), Mary “Karen” Daniel (Pat) and Cynthia M. McClaning (Cliff); four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Nonnie was a life-long seamstress. She worked for J. C. Penney Custom Decorating and a private custom decorator until she retired at 75.

A viewing will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Currie Funeral Home,116 East Church Street, Kilmarnock. A service will follow at 2 p.m. The internment will be at Roseland Cemetery in Reedville.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all of their support and the Certified Nursing Assistant Patricia “Tricia” Snead for her tireless efforts in taking care of our Mother during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fairport Baptist Church, 2395 Fairport Road, Reedville, where she was a lifetime member.
