“Northern Neck 250,” a film depicting local events during the American Revolution, will be shown at 7 p.m. June 17 and 22 at Compass Cinema Six, 100 Entertainment Drive, Irvington.
The film was produced by 26th Street Media in association with Kilmarnock Museum and the Northumberland County Historical Society.
It brings to life pre-Revolution era life in the Northern Neck, especially Northumberland and Lancaster counties, said Kilmarnock Museum president Carroll Lee Ashburn.
The film also features interviews with local citizens including Kilmarnock Mayor Shawn Donahue and Medal of Honor recipient Harvey Barnum, said Ashburn.
Tickets are $10. Proceeds will benefit the two history organizations. Purchase tickets at the Kilmarnock Museum, or call Ashburn for reservations, 296-0930.
