
The Northern Neck History Fair recently celebrated its 24th year with an awards presentation at Historic Christ Church & Museum. Since 2002, the Foundation for Historic Christ Church (FHCC) has hosted this annual competition.
Local elementary students enter by creating projects on an event, person or cultural development related to Virginia from 1607-1789, a period that is part of the students’ Virginia studies curriculum. Local businesses Chesapeake Bank, Connemara Corporation and Anna’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria of Kilmarnock help sponsor the event, reported FHCC executive director Robert J. Teagle.
