Northumberland advances to regional final with 31-26 win over West Point

The Indians are two games away from a state championship berth.

But between them and the title game is Northern Neck and Region A powerhouse Essex.

“These boys are playing with an attitude,” said NHS coach Aaron Lewis. “They want to win.”

Northumberland (10-1) amassed almost 300 yards passing and got a pair of big play touchdowns from all-everything rusher, passer and defender Delvin Palmer to edge West Point, 31-26, last Friday in a Region 1A semifinal.
