After suffering through a shutout by Northumberland High School on April 15, the Red Devils two days later came back to edge the Indians, 3-2, to open Northern Neck District baseball at 1-1.
Lancaster pitcher Josh Woolard went 6.1 innings, surrendering four hits, walking two and striking out eight. Trevor Pittman came in for relief.
Lancaster collected seven hits with Woolard, Pittman, Braden George, Brady Vanlandingham, Taylor Davis, Thomas Major and Brooks Parker recording one hit each.
Northumberland, which had four hits and drew three walks, sent a run across….
