Northumberland beats Lancaster by five strokes to win golf match

All four Northumberland scorers shot in the low- to mid-40s on nine holes last week as the Indians edged the Lancaster Red Devils by five strokes in a Northern Neck District golf match at Indian Creek Golf and Country Club.

Brandon Chism had the low score for Northumberland with a 40 to lead the Indians to a team low 172. Lancaster finished with a 177.

Lancaster’s Spencer Crittenden shot a 38 as the individual medalist. Teammate Nicklaus Ford shot a 39. Blake Smith had a 45 and Harris Clark a 55…
