Lancaster and Northumberland captured the top honors at the Northern Neck District track and field championships last Tuesday in Claraville.
The host Indians won six events to score 104 points for the championship in the boys meet, while the Lady Devils scored 98 points as the champion of the girls meet. Lancaster girls won eight individual events.
Rappahannock was the runner-up in the boys meet with 77 points, Lancaster third with 66, Washington fourth with 24.5 and Essex fifth with 22.5.
Northumberland was the runner-up in the girls meet with 54 points. Rappahannock placed third with 37, Essex fourth with 33 and Washington & Lee fifth with 30.
