HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, June 29, with the Hon. R. Michael McKenney presiding.
Elton T. Cockrell of Lancaster pleaded guilty to felony possession of a weapon and/or ammunition, felony driving while intoxicated, third offense within 10 years, felony manufacture/distribution of Schedule I/II drugs, third-plus offense, and felony eluding/disregarding police. Pre-sentencing was ordered; sentencing will be held October 19. A misdemeanor charge of fleeing law enforcement was nolle prossed.
A show cause for felony probation violation on a felony offense and a show cause for misdemeanor probation violation on a misdemeanor offense also were issued in Cockrell’s case. A hearing will be held October 19.
The trial of Patrick J. Royer of Kilmarnock, charged with 10 felony counts of possession of child pornography and felony production of child pornography with a subject less than 15 years of age while being more than seven years older than the subject, was continued to July 27.
The trial of Charles L. Elmore of Richmond and of Farnham, charged with felony manufacture of a controlled substance and with two show causes for felony pre-trial violation, was continued to July 27, as Elmore is a fugitive.
