HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court convened Tuesday, February 19, with the Hon. Michael McKenney presiding.
The trial of Brandon D. Parker of Saluda, charged with five felony counts for manufacturing controlled substances, was continued to March 5.
The deposition of Joyce A. Ball of Montross, charged with two felonies including one count for child abuse and disregard for life and one count for possession of a controlled substance, was continued to July 23.
Ronald C. Landon of Lancaster, who pleaded guilty to one felony for the nonviolent possession of a gun by a felon, was sentenced to serve five months in Northern Neck Regional Jail.
Donte S. Sutton of Lancaster, who pleaded guilty to one felony charge for the manufacture of a controlled substance, was sentenced to serve seven months in prison. The prosecution filed a nolle prosequi on five other felony manufacturing controlled substances charges against Sutton.
Bond was granted in the case of Chastity A. Crockett, no address listed, charged with two felony counts of manufacturing controlled substances. Crockett’s trial is set for March 19.
Orin P. Lee of Reedville pleaded guilty to violating his probation on a felony offense and to selling imitation Schedule I or II substances. Lee was sentenced to three years in prison. The prosecution filed a nolle prosequi in the case of four other felony charges against Lee, including failure to appear in court on a felony offense, revoking his pretrial release, and two counts of manufacturing controlled substances.
