HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland County Circuit Court Report convened Tuesday, September 16, with the Hon. Joseph J. Ellis presiding.
In the case of Joshua A. Morris of Warsaw, charged with causing injury or cruelty to a child and entering a home to commit assault and battery, a status hearing was set for November 18.
In the case of James A. Brown IV of Champlain, charged with four counts of distributing/selling Schedule I/II drugs for profit, a trial was continued to September 23.
In the case of Steven M. Davis of Heathsville, two charges of assault on a law enforcement officer were amended to misdemeanor assault and battery. He was sentenced to 90 days with 60 days suspended.
