Northumberland JV wins nail-biter over Lancaster, 42-38, in overtime

Northumberland tied the game and took its first lead with under two minutes to play and went on to beat Lancaster, 42-38, in overtime in a junior varsity boys basketball game on Tuesday, February 18.

The thrilling season ender for both teams was a make-up game and preceded a regular season finale varsity girls game between LHS and NHS which was also a snow-postponed meeting.

De’Maure Palmer led the Indians to the win, scoring eight of his team’s 12 points in the extra minutes. He hit 6-of-8 free throws in overtime when….
