
Megan Jones, an eighth grader at Northumberland Middle School (NMS), has taken the first step to become an internationally recognized artist by winning a local competition sponsored by the Northumberland Lions Club.
The Peace Poster contest of the International Lions Club is open to students ages 11-13. The theme is “Together As One” Jones’ poster will advance to judging at the district level, multi-district and then to international level. The club supports a monetary reward to first, second and third place winners. Second place was awarded to Cody Acheson and third, Landon Gaskins.
