Northumberland plans to sell three properties

HEATHSVILLE—During a special meeting on Wednesday, September 30, Northumberland supervisors approved a motion to have three county-owned parcels appraised as the first step in a possible sale. The proceeds are expected to go towards economic development projects within the county.

The properties include a 1.5-acre parcel near the intersection of Bells Cove Road and Lodge Road in Lottsburg, assessed at $6,800; a 17.51-acre parcel just east of Dameron Marsh, assessed at $347,000; and a 6.355-acre parcel near the entrance of Indian Creek Estates, assessed at $21,400.
