Northumberland school board launches budget planning process; senior Grant Biddlecomb named ‘Indian of the Year’ for 2021-22

The Northumberland School Board has begun the 2022-23 budget planning process and has launched its budget requests form for the coming year. The board discussed a bit of the planning process and other financial updates on Monday, November 8.

Director of finance Jason Bellows said the budget requests survey is live on the school board website and is open for community, faculty, staff and student input.

According to the budget calendar provided by Bellows, public input and preliminary budget discussion will begin during the board’s December 13 meeting.

The board unanimously voted to add three school holidays to the 2021-22 calendar. Board member Dana O’Bier moved to add November 1, 22 and 23 as holidays and….
