HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland board of supervisors and school board met Wednesday, November 2. The meeting proceeded efficiently through a slate of updates from the schools.
There were no questions previously submitted by the supervisors, so instead superintendent Dr. Holly Wargo and director of finance Tara Booth shared demographic information on the division’s 1,200 students and updates on grant reimbursements, major maintenance projects and the JROTC/STEM/athletic building.
Wargo said the permitting process is nearly complete on the building to be constructed on the Academic Lane campus and construction materials would arrive in December, a month early. “We do plan on having a groundbreaking ceremony and we would love to have you join us,” she said. A date has not been set….
