HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland board of supervisors on December 14 expressed concerns with internet service in the county.
The main issue is trying to get high speed internet in the areas the county refers to as “the last mile,” said county administrator Luttrell Tadlock.
“These are the areas that are hard to reach by fiber optic because it would require so many miles of fiber optic cable to reach the houses at the end of the road; this is very costly,” he said.
