HEATHSVILLE—The Northumberland board of supervisors voted 4-1 to approve the proposed 2019-20 county budget during a work session Tuesday, May 21.
Supervisors Ronald Jett, Richard Haynie, James Long and Joseph Self voted in favor of the motion to approve the budget. Supervisor Thomas Tomlin voted against, because he doesn’t approve of cuts made to the county’s funding of capital improvement projects for the school district, he said.
