Northumberland claimed a second regular season win over Lancaster on Wednesday, September 2, beating the Red Devils by 10 strokes in a home golf match at Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club.
Playing in the number five spot, Caden Jones shot the match low of 40 on nine holes to lead the Indians to a score of 168. Lancaster had a team score of 178.
“If anything, we’re consistent,” said LHS coach Rob Pittman. The Devils are averaging 178.4 strokes per match after five matches. They were actually four strokes better than the last time they lost to NHS when the Indians won, 177-182.
For the Indians, Landon Shirilla shot a 41, Crew Jones, 45, and Brice Woolard, 45, to complete the scorecard. Tripp Garland and Parker Shirilla also played for NHS…..
