Northumberland teen on a mission

As summer approaches, most teenagers are looking forward to lounging by the pool or making a few extra bucks working at a part-time job.

For Alice Sisson, a rising senior at Northumberland High School, the end of the academic year means a shift from studying to service work. This summer, like every summer for the past three years, Sisson will travel to Mexico to volunteer with YUGO Ministries, an evangelical Christian ministries organization based in Ensenada.

“Foreign missions have always been a really strong calling for me,” said Sisson, who leaves for her mission trip to Mexico on June 12.
