Northumberland Preservation Inc. (NPI) will present a talk by Paul Welch about his family’s three-generation history of operating canneries in the Northern Neck.
The presentation will be held at 2 p.m. June 1 at the historic Shiloh School on Shiloh School Road, Kilmarnock.
Welch recounts it was said “the creeks of the Northern Neck ran red with tomato peelings!”
