With just days before Northumberland Public Library summer reading challenge ends, participating readers are urged to step up their reporting and get ready for the final events.
“Reading logs need to be turned in by August 14 to earn tickets to the fair,” said library director Jane Blue. “Our goal is to reach 300,000 reading hours, and that’s adults as well as children.”
With the slogan of Unearth a Story and a theme of dinosaurs, the library reading program officially will end August 8, and the Readers Fun Fair 2026 will be held from 4-7 p.m. August 28 at the Northumberland YMCA.
