Oneil P. Fisher

WEEMS—Oneil Pernell Fisher of Weems, the son of the late Theodore and Edna Fisher, died October 28 at Bon Secours Medical Center, Mechanicsville.

Oneil was a 1950 graduate of A.T. Wright High School, White Stone. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church, Weems.

A corporal in the U.S. Army, Oneil served with the First Calvary Division in Japan. A medical corpsman, prior duties were at Camp Pickett.

Upon completion of his military service, Oneil joined Theodore Fisher and Son.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ernestine Wildly Fisher.

He is survived by his son, Eric Oneil Fisher; daughters, Shirley Waddy and Bobette Morrison; sisters, Victorine Brooks of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Otelia Caster of Northfield, N.J.; brother, Alvin Fisher of Weems; sisters-in-law, Verlene Wildy Booker and Mary Wildy Fronberger; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral was held November 2 at Sharon Baptist Church, Weems. Interment with military honors followed in the church cemetery.
