Open houses slated to recognize NPL director, children’s coordinator

Northumberland Public Library children’s program coordinator Jan Bates and director Alice Cooper are ending their tenure at the end of May.

Meanwhile, the library will host two open houses for the community to wish them well in their new endeavors, reported Pamela Hagy.

An open house will be held for Bates from 4 to 6 p.m. May 19, and for Cooper, 4 to 6 p.m. May 26. Both events will be held at the NPL, 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville.
