Take the family out to the ballpark Saturday, April 14, to celebrate the 2018 opening day of Lancaster County Little League.
Opening ceremonies will begin at 1 p.m. at Dream Fields, 1385 Irvington Road, Kilmarnock. Games will start at 2 p.m.
According to Youth Club of Lancaster County president Travis Pittman, during the 1 p.m. ceremony, the Little League will recognize Lancaster High School boys varsity basketball coach Tim Rice, his staff and members of his team for winning the 2018 Group 1 state championship.

Two former Youth Club of Lancaster County board members, Dianna Thomas and Tony Taft, will be recognized for their years of service, he said.
