Orchestra welcomes over 60 voices to fill chorus

More than 60 prospective chorus members in a gospel-inspired reinvention of Handel’s Messiah gathered at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wicomico Church Sunday, August 3, to learn about the Northern Neck Orchestra’s plans for a community-wide concert performance of “Too Hot to Handel: A Gospel Messiah.”

The orchestra was thrilled to see such a large group of enthusiastic people express their interest in joining with the orchestra in this musical celebration of community, said music director and conductor Michael Repper.
