About 350 people gathered at Roanoke Farm in Heathsville on Saturday, December 7, for the 13th annual Oysters and Oldies Christmas Oyster Roast, a fundraiser for St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. From left, Bob Pugh and Mason Brent get ready to scoop up one of the 35 bushels of oysters served. According to organizer Bill Kirby, proceeds will go towards helping local charitable and community organizations like the Healthy Harvest Food Bank, the Northern Neck-Middlesex Free Health Clinic and the Northumberland Family YMCA.
