
KILMARNOCK—It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Paul Lee Cashman on August 11, 2023. He was a resident of Kilmarnock, and formerly of Richmond, Stow, Mass., and Stevens Point, Wis.
Paul was born to Faye and Martha Cashman of Adams Friendship, Wis., on August 30, 1944.
Paul was predeceased by his parents and all of his siblings; Bruce, Warren, Roger, David and Beverly. He is survived by his loving wife, Grace Cashman; daughter Kimberly Dahms (Art), of Stevens Point, Wis.; son, Steven Brod (Mary) of Richmond; and daughter, Peace Brod Meade (Joe) of Boston, Mass. He also is survived by eight grandchildren, Caitlin and Cody Dahms, Kyle and Jake Brod, Gavin, Cas, Summer and Ezri Meade; and one great-grandchild, Zane Dahms.
Paul started working at Sentry Insurance on the night shift in the computer room while attending UWSP College in 1966. He continued his education in Massachusetts earning his masters degree. During his 35-year career with Sentry, Paul had a variety of roles ending in executive management with Dairyland Insurance.
Paul was an avid sportsman and loved to hunt and fish, especially on the Great Lakes and always with a group of good friends. He was an ardent Grill Master and his smoked salmon will be truly missed. He was an avid Packers and Badgers fan but also followed the Brewers, Red Sox as well as March Madness college basketball. He loved boating and sailboating.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, and all who sent thoughts and prayers during this time.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Wisconsin. A Memorial Fund to Special Olympics will be set up in his name.
