LIVELY—Peggy H. Wilson, 78, of Lively, went to her heavenly home early February 1, 2022.
She leaves behind her husband of 58 years, Gene Wilson; daughter, Michelle Giese (Craig); her beloved granddaughter, Madison; and brother, Donald Haynie. Also nieces, Kim Haynie, Marie Hoyle and Stephanie Yucius; nephews, Richard Haynie and Tag Giese; and their families; as well as brothers-in-law, William W. Wilson and Dan Snead; and sister-in-law Patsy Giese (Tim). She loved keeping up with her great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Basye and Elsie Haynie; brother, Richard B. “Sonny” Haynie and his wife, Shirley; sister, Betsy Snead; and son, Todd Wilson.
Peggy was born and raised in Lancaster County leaving briefly to live in Richmond after marrying. She returned to Lancaster to raise her family. While in Richmond, she worked for Dominion Energy and after returning home she worked at Commonwealth Florist until retiring.
She enjoyed shopping, gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, at Lebanon Baptist Church, Alfonso.
