‘Photography/Digital Art’ show continues through December 28

“Photography/Digital Art” recently opened at the RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock. The RAL members’ open exhibit includes 40 original photography and digital art works. This exhibition will be on display until December 28.

Michael Geissinger, a professional photographer and resident of Lottsburg, judged the show, reported Juli Schuszler Semanski. His career includes working as a photographer for the White House and as the director of photography at Virginia Tech. Gessinger also taught photography at his alma mater and spent 25 years as a successful photojournalist in Northern Virginia.

He presented the awards and his comments at a First Friday reception December 6 at the RAL Art Center.

For first place, Gessinger selected “Good Morning Zabrinskie Point” by Annie Barsky. He commented on the impressive lighting, on the contrast and transition from….
