Pittman and Saunders to receive Knull Award for community service

At its Reach for the Stars event on October 17, the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck (BGCNN) board of directors will present the William H. Knull Jr. Award to Travis R. Pittman and Creston “Welby” Saunders. They will be recognized for  their service to the community through their decades-long dedication to the youth at Dream Fields ballpark.

The Knull Award, named after Captain William H. Knull Jr., a founding BGCNN director who was instrumental in its formation and development, is presented annually to Northern Neck residents who have distinguished themselves by unselfish service to God, country and community, while providing services for the betterment of youth, reported publications coordinator Tina Hagen.
