The boys and girls of summer will hit the diamonds at 6 p.m. tomorrow, April 11, for the Lancaster County Little League opening ceremony of the 2025 summer season at Dream Fields, 1385 Irvington Road, Weems.
The event will launch a 60th birthday celebration for the ball fields on Irvington Road, according to LCLL president Tiffany Wolfe. Dream Fields will hold a special anniversary celebration on June 6, she said.
The ball complex has changed significantly over the last half century-plus as it transformed from the Fields at the Gloria L. Goodman Park to Dream Fields. New fields were added, buildings erected and parking lots installed as the entire complex underwent a new configuration to accommodate the Little League and also become the home to the Lancaster middle and high school teams.
Tomorrow, some 170 players participating in tee-ball to senior leagues will parade….
