LANCASTER—During a joint work session February 27, the Lancaster school board and board of supervisors reviewed a proposed school budget for the 2021 fiscal year.
Superintendent Dan Russell walked the boards through the nearly $17 million operating budget, which is relatively unchanged from last year.
The district anticipates total revenues of $16,948,297, an increase of $22,244 or 0.13% from the previous year, with local funds making up most of the revenue at $11,724,057, unchanged from last year. The district also anticipates state funds of $3,714,895, federal funds of $1,371,080, and cafeteria sales and other miscellaneous funds of $138,265.
Estimated general fund expenditures total $16,308,551, the largest of which is instruction at $11,720,455.
