Higher-seeded Rappahannock ended Lancaster’s postseason hopes Monday night, sweeping the Lady Devils, 3-0, in a Region 1A quarterfinal.
The Raiderettes advance to a home semifinal game tonight, November 7, against Chincoteague, which beat Essex, 3-0, in a quarterfinal. Middlesex beat Colonial Beach, 3-0, and Northumberland defeated Mathews, 3-2, in the other quarterfinals. The Lady Chargers will host the Lady Indians tonight in the region’s other semifinals. The winners will play for the championship Tuesday, November 12, at the higher seed. Both the region winner and runner-up will advance to the Class 1 state tournament.
