The April windows at the RAL Art Center, 19 North Main Street, Kilmarnock, are filled with works of art highlighting nature. The work of Gayle Merril, Shorn Mason and Mel Neale will grace the windows through April 25.
Merril developed a deep interest in art from an early age. Preferring creative pursuits over social activities during her school years, she devoted considerable time to drawing and painting. Her mother often urged her to spend more time outdoors, although she consistently chose to further her artistic skills, reported Juli Schuszler.
Merril attended Virginia Tech where she earned a BFA and a minor in education. She subsequently taught art and art history at….
