LANCASTER—Mrs. Rana L. Snider, 76, of Lancaster passed away February 10, 2022.
She was the widow of Robert L. “Juka” Snider.
Rana was born March 3, 1945, to Richard and Helen Smith in South Bend, Ind.
She attended Riley High School and South Bend Beauty College. After finishing beauty college she worked for Rana’s hair salon in Niles, Mich. In 1972 she started working for the South Bend Fire Prevention Bureau. In 1977, she opened her own beauty salon, Roni’s Beauty Bar until 1989. After her husband’s retirement from the South Bend Fire Department, she moved to Lancaster in 1997.
She is survived by her sister, Toby Rogers; niece, Julie Rogers; and her brother, Gary Smith; her children, daughter, Natalie Ann Sorukas (husband Robert); son, Nick Allen Snider (wife Amber); grandchildren, Chad Sorukas; Sarah Bronder (husband Charlie); Tye Cheney; Hunter Snider and great-grandchildren, Ryder and Piper Hathaway and Stella Bronder and Sebastian Cheney.
She is also survived by all of her Kilmarnock Cardinals as well as friends and loved ones of Lancaster and Kilmarnock.
She is loved and will be greatly missed.
