REEDVILLE—Randolph Bruno Perfetti died June 23, 2021. He was born September 11, 1949, in Jeanette, Pa., to Bruno Massimo Perfetti and Ruth Peters Perfetti.
Randy graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School, University of Indiana in Pennsylvania and Virginia Tech where he earned his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1973. After a year of teaching at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Perfetti began his career with the Environmental Protection Agency where he rose to the position of deputy director.
In 2007, Randy retired to Reedville, where he could be seen early in the morning jogging his 5K route through the village or fishing from his wharf. A devout communicant of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Kilmarnock, Randy served as an usher for Saturday evening mass.
Dr. Perfetti was preceded in death by his mother and his sisters, Christine P. Stanley and Barbara P. Shubin. He is survived by his father and his step-mother, Mary Ann Perfetti; his brothers, Dr. Thomas Albert Perfetti (Patricia) and Eric Curtis Perfetti (Marguerite); four nephews and a niece; and his fiancée, Deborah Corsa Whittaker.
A memorial service will be held in Jeannette at a later date.
