Rappahannock beats Lancaster by one stroke in high school golf

Lancaster’s Ben Pittman shot a 41 as the individual medalist as Rappahannock edged the Red Devils by a stroke in a nine-hole golf match last Thursday at the Golden Eagle Golf Course in Irvington.

Sydney DeShazo led the Raiders with a low 43 and Josh White and Lewis Ginn shot a 44 each. Christopher Bronner finished with a 47 and Rappahannock turned in a team score of 178.

Lancaster shot a 179 with Pittman leading the low four. Harris Clarke shot a 44, DJ Zeiler a 45 and Eli Pittman a 49. Carter McGee and Tristan McDaniel also played for the Devils.

Lancaster will host Middlesex at the Golden Eagle on Tuesday, September 3, and travel to Quinton Oaks Golf Course near Callao to play Northumberland Wednesday, September 5.
