Region A will be represented in the Class 1 state volleyball tournament this week by Tidewater District’s Mathews and Middlesex.
The Lady Blue Devils and Lady Chargers were scheduled to vie for the regional championship Tuesday night. Both will advance to the state tournament with the regional champion earning a home berth in the first round. The runner-up will travel.
