Rappahannock Community College (RCC) celebrated the Class of 2025 on May 9 in two ceremonies at Essex High School in Tappahannock. President Dr. Shannon Kennedy conferred 967 degrees and certificates at the college’s 53rd Commencement.
In addition to family and friends, faculty, staff and board members were in attendance. Board chairman Richard Gouldin Jr. addressed the graduates. “In 1965 my father shared with me a vision. Through the perseverance of many people RCC came to life in 1970 and today we stand here celebrating your achievements,” said Gouldin. “Your hard work, determination and resilience have brought you to this point. We are proud of you and excited to see the great things you will achieve.”
