The Rappahannock Community College Educational Foundation Inc. (RCC EFI) recently hosted its annual scholarship program reception to honor and recognize 2018-19 scholarship recipients and donors.
“I recently read that people who engage in any form of higher education experience a 20% to 30% increase in potential lifetime earnings. I commend the recipients and donors for their commitment,” said foundation board president and scholarship donor Dr. Robert Gates.
College president Dr. Elizabeth H. Crowther welcomed the guests, congratulated students who received scholarships and thanked donors for their generosity. “To those students here this evening, know that you are an invaluable member of our community and an extraordinary contributor. And to our scholarship donors, be proud that you are having a direct hand in changing the lives of our students, as well as contributing to the health of our local economy,” said Dr. Crowther.
