The Foundation for Historic Christ Church (FHCC) with the Cobbs Hall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Richard Henry Lee Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) invite the community to a public reading of the Declaration of Independence.
Readings will begin at 4 p.m. today, July 2, in Historic Christ Church, 420 Christ Church Road, Weems. The free event will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration with patriotic songs, a brief history of the document and a public reading performed by various members of the community.
