LANCASTER—Officials this month will embark on a nearly year-long process of assigning new values to some 12,000 properties in Lancaster County.
Properties across the county are typically reappraised on a six-year cycle, as required by the code of Virginia. The process will begin January 15 and will continue through October. The new values will become effective January 1, 2019.
The Daleville-based firm of Wampler-Eanes Appraisal Group, Ltd. will appraise each individual property and use a formula that takes several factors into account, including home sale prices and sales volume…
