WARSAW—Rebecca Moore Shropshire, 85, of Warsaw passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025.

Becky was born to the late Roland Evans Moore and the late Hazel Annette Hinson Moore. She was a widow three times and the husbands that predeceased her were Warner Earl Whay, James Lyell Smith and John Wesley Shropshire Jr. Becky was a member of Cobham Park Baptist Church.

Becky worked at 7-Eleven for many years and was the friendly face behind the counter known by many in her community. As a young woman she worked for the Tidewater Telephone Company. She loved shopping and listening to Elvis Presley. Becky’s life motto was always “One day at a time Sweet Jesus.” She remained strong and valiant throughout many of her life’s challenges.

Left to cherish Becky’s memory are her stepson, Weston and his wife Savannah; their girls, Weslynn and Frankie; her sisters, Marian Bowen (Reverend Willard Bowen) and Ann Peyton; her brother, William Franklin Brown; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Hazel; her husbands, Warner, James and John; and her beloved sons, Tracy and Troy.

A funeral service for Becky will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, at Cobham Park Baptist Church with the Reverend Robert Hinson, the Reverend Todd Brown and the Reverend Donald Bowen officiating. Following her service, Becky will be laid to rest in the Cobham Park Baptist Church Cemetery.
