Washington & Lee gave Lancaster it’s biggest district scare to date last Tuesday, when the Eagles nearly upset the first-place Red Devils in varsity boys basketball.
Lancaster has survived some close calls by Northern Neck District teams over the past few weeks to maintain its unbeaten 5-0 district mark. The Eagles and Devils played to a 47-47 regulation lock before Lancaster went on a 15-5 run in overtime to beat the Montross team, 62-52.
With a 60-54 win over Colonial Beach last Friday, the Devils are now 10-4 overall heading into the final week of regular season play…
