Reedville Fishermen’s Museum is now open

Art and essays by Carol Muratore will be featured this season at the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum.

REEDVILLE—The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum, 504 Main Street, Reedville, opened for the season on Saturday, April 6.

The board of directors hosted a member preview on Friday, April 5, with over 85 people in attendance, reported executive director Shauna McCranie. Alva Jackson of MaMargaret’s Bed and Breakfast catered the event.RFM Reedville Fisherman's Museum

The featured exhibitor this season is local artist Carol Muratore of Reedville, said McCranie. Muratore started painting in acrylic on very large canvas for this watermen’s exhibit. It features local watermen and women on the Chesapeake Bay making their living. Muratore also has written stories about the watermen to accompany her paintings.

Visit the museum from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, or Saturdays.
