The Town of Irvington is seeking participants for its traditional Hometown Parade at 11 a.m. July 3 along King Carter Drive in Irvington.
Prospective paraders should register their entries before June 30 by contacting visitirvingtonva.com/4thjuly, said Judy Penniman, town council member and chairman of the special events committee, which sponsors the parade. There is no registration fee.
Parade plans include participation by golf carts, bicycles, pets, select number of classic cars, police and fire vehicles and musicians. Floats are encouraged from businesses and other non-partisan groups wishing to join in….
