On April 9, 2011, Mid-County Volunteer Rescue Squad, 7990 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, dedicated a Memorial Garden in remembrance “To Those Before Us and Those After Us.”
Memorial stones and benches grace the garden bearing the names of past first responders since Mid-County’s inception 36 years ago, reported secretary Nina Bhat. On October 7 at 1:30 p.m., another memorial ceremony is planned.
